Scientific Writing Workshop

Scientific writing is crucial to academic success. Yet it is rarely trained, let alone mastered. Our workshop mends this weakness. In it, we delve into the world of scientific publishing, dissect the topic, share practical guidelines on how to conceive and write scientific papers and explain how the publication process actually works—so you can be prepared when you submit your next piece of work.

What you get. At the workshop, you will acquire practical tools to write impactful and high-quality research articles. You will learn how to develop a vigorous writing style for communicating results effectively while gaining a deeper understanding of the key aspects of scientific publishing. You will get the most important tips to the most efficient pathway to publish your results.

Targeted to PhD students and Early Career Researchers, the workshop is a must if you are committed to becoming a better scientist, critical thinker and communicator of new ideas.

Women in Science and Technology Breakfast; Proudly Sponsored by Centre for Quantum Computation & Communication Technology

Join us for a breakfast networking event for female-identifying attendees hosted by Prof Jodie Bradby. Attending this event will be established and successful women in the science and technology field who will each be sharing their one top tips for success with the audience.

Meet the Editors Session

We will have a panel of scientific editors from prime international journals that will share their experience on handling manuscripts and provide tips on how to make your manuscript published. The session will include a brief introduction by the editors, followed by a Q&A session.
